Welcome to EmpowerMama

My name is Jenny and I'm a mom of 6 beautiful children. I'm a certified doula, artist/writer, stay at home mom, and raising my children to enjoy every part of life. I created EmpowerMama to help bring light to all types of motherhood.  Either you are expecting your first of 5th you are welcome here. EmpowerMama is a place to ask questions, find guidance, build a community and most of all a place to make new mama friends. After becoming a mom I lost many friends because they weren't in the same stage in life as I was. They didn't understand that my children needed to come first then going out to a party. Because of that I started feeling alone, board and in need of making friends. As I continued having children going to mom groups, and mom social groups became tougher. I've joined many groups on social media, but found many to be more negative than I liked. That's when I decided to created EmpowerMama. A blog and Facebook group where we can be our true selves while finding the comfort of making new friends in a safe space. 
Motherhood isn't for the weak, and it takes a village to survive. EmpowerMama welcomes you and I hope you enjoy what's to come.

We offer a Facebook group which is set to private for any mama to join. On there you can reach out to me directly, connect with other mamas and have a safe place to post concerns, questions or  needing a safe place to vent.   The unspoken truth behind my childhood   ______________________________________________ “To speak the truth you need to know the truth” My childhood was nothing but challenging. Being taken from my biological family to then being brought to an orphanage to then getting adopted a few years later wasn’t the worst of the challenges. Unfortunately that was just the beginning.  My early years were filled with many unknowns that are still unknown to this day. Sure! 6 and counting!

6 and counting!  Back in the day large families were common. Many children were raised in big families. However, times changed and the thought of 5+ children seems less common than it once was. But why should it matter to anyone else how many children you are raising? Why should it matter how a family chooses to live? The simple answer is IT DOESNT MATTER. If you aren’t raising the children, if you aren’t in anyway affected by the number of children one has then it’s not your concern. I am a proud mom of 6 beautiful children under the age of 9. We chose to have a big family because both my husband and I are adopted. We wanted to create our own biological family to carry on our name for years to come. Just because we chose to have many doesn’t mean others need to as well. There are always two sides to every story. Don’t allow yourself to only see one side of things.
